What is it about?
ACER together with ENTSO-E, RGI, Wind Europe, WATT and CurrENT will co-host a Policy Conference during EU Sustainable Energy Week on the efficient electricity grids: the key to accelerating the deployment of renewable energy.
In the current energy crisis, fast action is needed more than ever to ensure energy affordability, energy security, reduce grid congestion, and scale up renewables more quickly. This calls for Transmission System Operators (TSOs) adequately supported by regulation, to accelerate the development and integration of innovative solutions into the electrical transmission grids and to develop bold, agile strategies together with policymakers and stakeholders that address the urgent challenges associated with the Fit-for-55 and REPowerEU objectives.
The Policy Conference will discuss what regulatory measures are needed to rapidly future-proof the electricity infrastructure in a sustainable way.
